My name is Ryan Faul and this is my artist statement.I create art because I believe that a picture or a drawing can really change the way you look at the world and how other people view the world differently than you do.My favorite subject would have to be photography because I love to take simple pictures and create a meaning out of them.I would have to say my technique to taking picture is to take your time because you aren't always going to have the opportunity to take a great picture whenever you want.My technique reflects my work due to the fact that most of my pictures I take are at night and are at great locations that usually wouldn't look as good during the day.I couldn't say the exact amount of time it would take to complete a “perfect” in my eyes just because when I got to take pictures it could be a 10 minute session or it could be 2 hours before I get the picture I was looking for,but for the editing process it could range anywhere form doing a simple 5 minute edit to a more precise 20-30 minute edit.I would say my work is different because I like to take dark and more mysterious pictures then most people.My goals in I would like to accomplish in photography are to soon get into to car cinematography.I really don't have any inspiration to do the work I do except from my DMA teacher Mrs.Shields.I would have to say that Larry Chen has influenced me because I love all of his artwork.The message I am trying to put off is a deeper more dark feeling(not weird,just how I would describe it ).When I see my artwork me being myself would say it is very creative.Usually when other people see my artwork say it is very or good or that I am a talented photographer.
